Gutters & Downspouts

Topper Construction offers a full range of gutter and downspout options, as well as several types of leaf protection. Our gutters and downspouts are available in copper or six standard aluminum colors. If you need a custom color to match a metal roof, we can get just about anything you want.

Ogee or K-Style Gutters

Ogee gutters, also known as K-Style, are the most popular gutter profile that we install. Ogee gutters are typically seamless, come with hidden hangers, and are available in 5-inch, 6-inch or 7-inch widths.

Half-Round Gutters

Half-round gutters create an elegant look that adds character to a home. They have exposed hangers and are available in 5-inch or 6-inch widths.

Box Gutters

Box gutters are typically used in commercial applications. Also sometimes referred to as parallel gutters, or trough gutters, they can be customized to whatever size or profile is needed.

Downspouts are generally available in two styles – corrugated rectangular, and smooth round. Rectangular downspouts are typically used with Ogee or box gutters, and are available in 2”x3”, 3”x4” and 4”x5”. Round downspouts are typically used with half-round gutters, and come in 4” diameter.

Why Gutter Cleaning Is Essential

Gutters consist of a series of interconnected troughs that flow to downspouts and channel water and debris away from your home’s siding and foundation. Gutters only perform this essential job when they are free of clogs and allow for maximum water flow. Clogs or buildup can cause water to spill over the top of the gutter, down your home’s exterior walls, and even into your siding and foundation.

Mosquitoes Breed in Standing Water Formed by Clogged Gutters

When gutters become clogged with leaves and debris, it creates standing water that attracts mosquitoes and other pests. Mosquitoes and other insects can lay their eggs in the standing water formed by a clogged gutter.

Gutter Cleaning Prevents Water Damage

Water damage from overflowing gutters can lead to mold, mildew and rot in your home’s foundation and exterior walls. When a gutter becomes clogged, the water can no longer flow down the designed channel, and may seep behind the siding and cause extensive water damage.
